Run 3 – Jump, Flip, and Dash Through Space

Run 3 is an endless running and platform game that takes you out of gravity’s comfort zone and throws you into a series of twisting, collapsing tunnels in outer space. Instead of running across flat ground, you’re sprinting, leaping, and even sticking to walls as the environment shifts around you. It’s simple to start, but the more you play, the more you realize how clever and challenging these tunnels really are.

The game was released on October 10, 2017, and it’s the third entry in the popular Run series. Each sequel added new mechanics, but Run 3 is the one that really opened things up with new characters, modes, and the ability to explore entire galaxies of tunnels.

How to Play Run 3

  • The controls are straightforward, but they take skill to master:
  • Use the Left and Right Arrow Keys to move sideways.
  • Press the Spacebar to jump.
  • Run too close to the tunnel’s edge and you can leap onto the wall, flipping the entire world around you.
  • That’s all you need to start, but the challenge comes from precision. Every jump has to be timed, every move carefully adjusted as the floor falls out or the tunnel bends.

Why It’s So Addictive

The way that Run 3 strikes a balance between easy controls and challenging, unpredictable levels keeps you interested. There are two main modes: Infinite Mode, where the objective is to see how long you can last, and Explore Mode, where you can unlock new characters and tunnels. Another highlight is the characters, each of whom has a distinct feel, whether it's The Duplicator with a twist or The Rabbit with fast reflexes. The feeling of unlocking a new character and realizing they completely change the way you play is what makes you keep coming back.

Tips and Tricks

  • Don’t just stay on the floor—use the walls to your advantage when gaps get too wide.
  • Practice short jumps as much as long ones; sometimes, small hops are safer.
  • Collect power cells in Infinite Mode—they’re the key to unlocking more characters.
